How far back should planning start for 6 February 2027?
From the slowest treatment, because it sets the earliest date and everything else fits behind it. Counting back from Saturday 6 February 2027: three months is 6 November, six weeks is 26 December, four weeks is 9 January, two weeks is 23 January and one week is 30 January.
Ramadan is expected to begin around Monday 8 February, with the moon sighting deciding, and Hari Raya Aidilfitri around 9 or 10 March. Chinese New Year and the first days of Ramadan are therefore two days apart, so for anyone marking both, the 6 February calendar is the binding one. Anyone marking only Raya has a second, later date to back-time from, about a month further on, and the same arithmetic applies. Both festivals have their own preparations, and this page is only the clinical calendar that sits beside them.
Which treatments need months?
Collagen-building devices are the ones a date cannot hurry. The clinic's page on Ultherapy describes a lift that develops over two to three months and lasts up to a year, usually from a single session. XERF is a course of two sessions four to six weeks apart, with subtle tightening early and meaningful change over the following months. Both fit if the first visit falls by early November. With no downtime beyond brief flushing or tenderness, there is no recovery to plan around, but the building time is the same.
Biostimulators need longer still. The published course is two to three sessions six to eight weeks apart, with improvement peaking over six to twelve months. In 15 weeks that allows two or three sessions, and the peak lands well after 6 February. A start now builds toward the next festival season rather than this one, and it is better to say so plainly than to promise a result the biology cannot deliver by the date.
Pigment is the other months-long category. A discrete sun spot treated with PicoSure may clear in one or two sessions, so a month ahead, about 6 January, is the minimum. Diffuse sun damage needs a planned course, spaced so the body can clear the fragments between visits, which means several months. Melasma is a different diagnosis and needs its own plan first, because laser can make it worse in some people, as covered in the page on laser and melasma. Telling a tan from melasma is a clinical question, and it is better asked in November than in January.
Which treatments need weeks?
Anti-wrinkle injections show an effect from three to five days and are fully developed by about two weeks, which is when the result should be judged. For Chinese New Year that means about 23 January. A treatment given on 30 January is real but only partly shown by 6 February.
Dermal filler is visible immediately and settles into its final form over about two weeks, with some swelling and occasional bruising for a few days, so it follows the same date: 23 January at the latest. Skinboosters sit between the two groups. They are cumulative, a course of two to three sessions about a month apart with light after-effects settling within a day, so a three-session course started in early December ends in early February. The after-effects clear quickly, the course does not. The same logic is set out for several treatments in the page on collagen-building courses before an event.
What can wait until the last days?
HydraFacial. Its freshness is immediate, there is nothing to settle, and the clinic's own page says the result is temporary by design. That makes it the one treatment that fits the final week without any risk to the timeline, and the one that can be repeated if a second occasion, such as a reunion dinner on one day and open house on another, falls close behind. The general logic of a no-wait treatment against a slow one is in how far ahead to plan an injectable before an event.
What should be avoided close to the date?
Anything new, anything that leaves swelling, and anything that needs a second session. A treatment tried for the first time in the final fortnight carries an unknown: there is no earlier reaction to learn from, and no time to review it. Filler and anti-wrinkle injections given in the last week have not reached the settled state described above. A peel is classified by depth, and depth decides recovery, so a peel booked without knowing its depth is the one to leave until after the festival.
Sun is the second thing. Tan and pigment are easier to prevent in the weeks before a date than to treat in the days before it. This is a planning principle, not a clinical finding, and a doctor assessing the skin is the person to tailor it.
Does Ramadan change any of this?
Little about how a treatment behaves is known to change during Ramadan. What changes is the calendar around the appointment, which is covered in aesthetic treatment during Ramadan: what actually changes, so it is not repeated here. That page offers no religious ruling and neither does this one. Whether and how to fast is for each reader and their own guidance. What this page adds is only the date arithmetic: because Ramadan is expected so soon after Chinese New Year, treatments that build over months are better started before it begins, with the visits themselves arranged in whatever way suits the month.
